OUR VIEW OF THE CHURCH: - We see the church as a FLOCK - God's flock, entrusted to the leadership of a faithful godly plurality of elders who humbly lead, protect, correct, feed and intercede for God's sheep.
(1 Peter 5:1-4).
- We see the church as a BODY - God's body of functioning members, acting on the basis of
God-given spiritual gifts in order to maximize effectiveness and impact of the all-important Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Everyone has a place to serve the LORD, just as
every part of the body is unqiuely important and functioning. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
- We see the church as a FELLOWSHIP - God's people gathered sharing life together to draw one another into a deeper relationship with the Lord. We are committed to regularly meeting outside of the church, encouraging everyone to belong to a midweek small group. e must therefore pursue harmony and unity
under the authority of the Scriptures alone.
(Acts 2:42; 1 John 1:2-3; Ephesians 4:1-3)
- We see the church as FAMILY OF FAMILIES. We must therefore emphasize positive,
redemptive relationships that nurture spiritual growth and compassionate care. We place importance on the shared role
that the church and the family has in shaping the next generation to honor God
and expand His kingdom.
