Welcome to Community Bible Church

We are a growing and thriving biblical community where the gospel of Jesus Christ transforms lives and families. Simply put, we are a non-denominational community of faith declaring and delighting in the gospel of grace. We seek to intentionally mature believers in their faith, lovingly convince unbelievers of the truth claims of Jesus Christ, and redemptively minister to a hurting world.  Central to all we do is the clear and relevant teaching of the Bible, which we see as foundational to vital spirituality and Christ-centered living in this world. We also value passionate worship of God’s greatness, and purposeful discipleship of all ages. It would be our joy to minister to any need you have and help you grow in your relationship with God- no matter your background.

Weekly Word: Pastor Jake
I just watched a funny video that reminds me that we all have many excuses (big 'buts') that we like to use for why we don't spend enough time with God and His word. You can watch it here. It reminded me that we always have time for the things we care about. I always have time to check email, take a shower, wash clothes, eat a meal, so why do I let excuses dictate my relationship with the Lord?

This year, I'm tackling Grant Horner's Bible reading plan, Lord willing. There are many different Bible reading schedules that have been created to help aid our relationship with God. Some go straight through the Bible. Others follow a chronological order. Some have readings in different genres each day. Some read portions of the Bible (like the New Testament) several times in a year. Others take two years to read through the entire Bible. A well-known Christian blogger Justin Taylor, has a great overview of many plans, which you can read here. I encourage you to find a plan that will work for you. If you get too behind, simply pick it up on the assigned reading for today and press on. Don’t be discouraged.
